PLAISANCE- Memorial Visitation will be held for Winnis Louis Dupre, 84, at Ardoin's Funeral Home on Thursday, March 29, 2018, who passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Prairie Manor Nursing Home surrounded by his family and friends.

Winnis Louis Dupre was born on October 08, 1933 to Leo and Nita Dupre. He worked for many years as a butcher in all the local grocery stores around Ville Platte and raised cattle. He took pride in joy in the cattle he raised.

His memories will live on through his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Melda Dupre; son, Tim Dupre and wife Celeste; step-daughters, Gloria "Annie" LaFleur and husband Mike, Jeanné Gil, Belinda Blair and husband William, Pat "Gil" Coco, Catherine Davis, Christine Scott and husband Bart, and Angela Gil; five grandchildren; 13 step-grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and one sister, Rita Ann Fontenot and husband Norman.

Winnis is preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Nita Dupre; son, Norman Dupre, and brothers, Vernon Dupre, Floyd Dupre, and Roger Dupre.

The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin's Funeral Home of Ville Platte on Thursday, March 29, 2018 from 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM. A rosary will be recited by Father Tom Voorhies at 5:30 PM on Thursday, March 29, 2018.
