Funeral services for Marie Wilda Guillory Fontenot will be held Saturday, February 23, 2008 at 11am in the Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Old Ville Platte Cemetery.

A resident of Greenwill Springs for the past 15 years, she died Thursday, February 21, 2008 at Ochsner Hospital. She was 86 and a native of Ville Platte and a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church.

Survivors include her son and daughter in law, James Winston Jim and Judy Fontenot of Greenwell Springs; two grandchildren and their spouses, Michael Chad and Lisa Fontenot of Baton Rouge and Christy F. and Doug Vaughn of Colorado Springs, Colorado; four great grandchildren, Erich Nicholas, Justin Matthew, and Sarah Elizabeth Vaughn and Luke Joseph Fontenot; three sisters, Rose Brignac, Luna Deville, and Mary Lou Pitre, and numerous friends and relatives.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Mark P. Fontenot; parents, Leo and Theresa Deville Guillory; three sisters, Grella Vidrine, Gloria Berzas, Alicia Mouillier; and three brothers, Leetel Guillory, Shirley Guillory, and Vernal Guillory.

Visitation will be held Saturday, February 23, 2008 from 9am until time of services with a rosary at 10:40am Saturday.
