Funeral services for Sidney Earl Fontenot, Jr. will be held Saturday, August 12, 2006 in the First Baptist Church of Pine Prairie. Burial will follow in the Beaver Creek Cemetery. Bro. Kevin West and Bro. Roger Whittington will officiate the services.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Shirley Leggett Fontenot of Pine Prairie; his mother, Ruby O. Fontenot of Pine Prairie; two sons, Jerry Fontenot wife Dana and Paul Fontenot of Pine Prairie; a daughter Tammy Fontenot Rodriguez husband, Kevin of Pine Prairie; a daughter in law, Tammy M. Fontenot of Pineville; one sister, Linda Nabors husband, Kennith of Pine Prairie; three grandsons, Logan Fontenot wife, Tammy, Timothy Rodriguez wife, Brittany, and Benjemin Rodriguez; three granddaughters, Allison Rodriguez McCollugh husband, Tony, Jessica Fontenot and Olivia Fontenot; one great granddaughter, Kayleigh Fontenot; one great grandson, Cayden McCollough; one neice, Kristie N. Whatley husband, Brent of DeQuincy; one nephew, Jody Nabors wife, Amy of Hammond; two great nephews, Samuel Whatley and Xander Nabors; two great nieces, Gracie Whatley and Aubree Nabors and a host of in-laws, relatives and friends who loved him.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 11, 2006, from 3pm until 10pm and from 8am Saturday until time of services. Visitation will be held at First Baptist Church of Pine Prairie.

Mr. Fontenot is preceded in death by his father, Sidney E. Fontenot, Sr. and his youngest son, Sidney Sid Fontenot, III.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the First Baptist Church of Pine Prairie in memory of Sidney Earl Fontenot, Jr.
