VILLE PLATTE It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Sandra Faye Ortego, 49, announces her passing on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at her residence. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, August 18, 2014 at Our Lady Queen of all Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte at 1:00 PM. Rite of committal will follow in the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Eunice, Louisiana.
A loving daughter, wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, Sandra Faye leaves behind her mother Mary Alice Fontenot of Butte la Rose, her husband of 26 years Terry Guillory of Eunice, her son Bobby Joe Hooks of Redell, her daughter Melissa Hidalgo and husband Darron of Grand Prairie, and her sister Linda Breaux of Butte la Rose. Also left behind to cherish her memory are her five grandchildren Alex Hidalgo, Natalie Hidalgo, Nicole Hooks, Autumn Hooks, and Brooklyn Hooks, her neice April Devillier, and nephew Mekin Breaux.
She now rests with her father Nelton Ortego.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held Sunday, August 17, 2014 from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM and again on Monday from 8:00 AM until time of service. A rosary will be recited in her honor Sunday evening at 7:00 PM.
