Ville Platte It is with the heaviest of hearts that the family of Roy Allen Vidrine, 69, announces his passing on September 8, 2014. He was at home, surrounded by his family when he left this world to join his Savior in the next. A Memorial Service will be held in his honor at 1:00 PM Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel of Ville Platte with Pastor Kevin West as officiate.
Roy leaves behind his wife of fifty years, Billie Jean McDaniel Vidrine and his children: Dustin Jon Vidrine and his wife, Ann of Tyler, Tx., Jessica Rougeau and her husband, Greg of Sulphur, Tracy Soileau and her husband, Bruce of Eunice and Kelly V. Coe and her husband Jr. of Rittman, Ohio. He was blessed with six grandchildren: Casey, Kelsey, Lizzie, Sadie, Aaron and Sophie and further blessed with one great grandchild, Mylie.
Roy served his country with great honor and pride during his time in the United States Navy. He provided for the well being of his family by working as a Wildlife and Fisheries Game Warden.
He will now reunite in Heaven with his parents, Wilfred and Leah Vidrine, his guardians, Amede and Lizzie Fontenot, a brother, Lee Burke Fontenot, two sisters, Lena Rae Fontenot and Marie Vidrine.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home of Ville Platte beginning at 9:00 AM Thursday, September 11, 2014 and will continue until the time of the service.
