ST. LANDRY - Roy Alemand II, beloved father, son, brother, and grandfather and native of Morgan City, passed away in Ville Platte December 3rd 2022. Roy was a hardworking oilfield fitter / welder / construction foreman and lived life as hard as he worked.

Born November 22, 1961 to Roy Alemand Sr & Gaydell Beadle-Alemand, Roy grew up with his siblings, Donna & Craig in Bayou Vista, LA. Roy lived an adventurous life following his oilfield father on overseas excursions to Nigeria, Iran, Scotland and Spain where he enjoyed the various cultures experienced there. Once home for good, Roy fathered two children, Shane & Shelby, and enjoyed cooking & gatherings of family & friends, and the simple outdoor country life of hunting & fishing.

Roy will be lovingly remembered by his father Roy Alemand Sr., sister Donna Broussard & husband Kevin, brother Craig Alemand & wife Tyler, son Shane Alemand & wife Christina, and daughter Shelby. He is also survived by his grandchildren Colby, Brayden, Cole & Henry, and nephews Shaun, Chad, and Conner.

He is preceded in death by his mother Gaydell Alemand.

Roy will be remembered in a private family celebration.
