Ville Platte Funeral service for Mrs. Rosa Jane Thompson, 77, will be held Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at 10am in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Evangeline Memorial Cemetery. Fr. Joshua Guillory will officiate the services.

Mrs. Thompson, a resident of Ville Platte, died Sunday, July 15, 2007 in the Golden Age Nursing Home in Denham Springs.

Survivors include one son, Andrew J. Thompson of Denham Springs; three brothers, Rawlings Peanut Vidrine of Ville Platte, Jimmy Vidrine of Amite, and Oakland Vidrine of Destrahand; two sisters, Carol Bowden of Kenner and Arlene Vidrine of Ville Platte; two grandchildren, Chauncey Thompson and Brittany Thompson both of Ville Platte; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 17, 2007 from 10am until 9pm and on Wednesday, from 8am until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 6:30pm Tuesday.
