VILLE PLATTE-A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 2:00 pm Monday, October 15, 2007 at St. Peters Catholic Church in Grand Prairie, for Mr. Rickie Fontenot, 53, who passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at his residence in Metairie, La.

The Rev. Mark Melancon, Pastor of St. Peters Catholic Church in Grand Prairie, will be the Celebrant with the Rite of Committal to follow in the Old St. Peters Cemetery.

A resident of Metairie, Rickie was a Waiter at the Fairmont Hotel for over twenty-five years.

Survivors include his mother, Neala S. Fontenot of Metairie; a son, Ryan Fontenot of Metairie; a brother, William Ray Fontenot Sr. of Metairie; and a sister, Wanda Ann Bordelon of Montz.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Hurst Fontenot

The family request that visitation hours be observed from 4:00 9:00 pm on Sunday, October 14, 2007 and on Monday, October 15, 2007, from 8:00 am until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 pm Sunday evening.
