Funeral services for Mr. Paul Elric Vidrine, 86, were held Tuesday, September 12, 2006 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial followed in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Mr. Vidrine, a resident of Ville Platte, died Sunday, September 10, 2006 at 9:25pm at his residence. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the United States Navy.

Survivors include his wife, Germa Fuselier Vidrine of Ville Platte; a son Paul Craig Vidrine and wife, Carlene of Ville Platte; two daughters, Cynthia Vidrine Ardoin and husband, David of Ville Platte, and Jessica Vidrine Dardeau and husband, Michael of Gonzales; nine grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Visitation was held Monday, September 11, 2006 from 4:30pm until 9pm and on Tuesday from 8am until time of services. A rosary was recited 7pm on Monday. A veteran memorial service was held Tuesday at 10am.

Mr. Vidrine was preceded in death by his parents, Mark and Elina Vidrine; brothers, Marion Vidrine, Audley Vidrine, Raleigh Vidrine, Loris Vidrine, and Aloy Inhern; and one great grandchild, Gemma Elnaggar.
