VILLE PLATTE It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Myra Mae Picard, 59, announces her passing on April 7, 2012 at LSU Medical Center in Shreveport. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 9, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Ardoins Funeral Home in Ville Platte. Rite of committal will follow in the M.B. Fontenot Cemetery with Pastor Brian Dore officiating.
Myra, a loving sister, will be greatly missed by her brothers: Jimmy Picard of Grand Prairie and Joe Picard and wife, Pat, of Chicot and her sisters: Mary Picard of Mamou and Betty West of Oakdale, and a host of other family and friends. She also leaves behind to mourn her passing, her devoted companion, Ricky Fontenot.
She is preceded in death by her parents Rodney and Lila Picard, her daughter Hope Ann Picard, and her brother Billy Picard.
At the request of the family, visitation will take place Monday, April 9, 2012 from 9:00 AM until time of services.
