Louis Onezime “L.O.” Campbell, Jr. was born on April 15, 1941 in Ville Platte, LA to Louis Onezime Campbell, Sr. and Louise Ortego Campbell. LO truly loved his children, grandchildren and family.  He was a man of faith, a dedicated dad, and loved going to cheer for his children’s sporting events. Cooking became a passion for him, and he loved trying out new recipes on his family and friends.  The Food Channel became his obsession.  A man of many talents…he was an amazing duck hunter and spent many years as a member of Miller’s Lake.  He also was a very talented tennis player and photographer.  But his lifetime favorite was golf.  He was a member of Ville Platte Golf and Country Club.  You could always find him out on the course laughing and joking around with his many golf buddies.  He was known for his great smile and laugh.  He was laid back and easy to be around.  He will be truly missed by his children, grandchildren, family and many friends.

He is survived by his daughter, Nanette Elizabeth Campbell of Mamou; two sons, Richard Louis Campbell of Mamou and Brian Patrick Campbell of Lafayette; two grandchildren, Sydney Elizabeth Swart and Kadence James; sister, Evelyn Campbell Gilbert of Austin, TX; and former brother in law, Cecil Duplechin.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis Onezime Campbell, Sr. and Louise Ortego Campbell; sister, Mary Arden Campbell Duplechin; and brother in law, William C. Gilbert.

At the request of the family, visitation will take place at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Ville Platte on Saruday, November 14, 2020 from 8:15 AM until time of service. A rosary will be recited by at 12:00 PM.
