VILLE PLATTEIt is with heavy hearts that the family of Leroy Manuel announces his passing on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was 86. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Rite of Committal will follow in the Old Ville Platte Cemetery with Father Brian Harrington Celebrant.

Leroy, a proud veteran, served his country in the United States Navy and then in the United States Air Force, where he retired. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. He is survived by his nephew, Winston Fontenot and wife, Micki of Baton Rouge.

He now rests in peace with his beloved parents, Amar and Marguerite Fontenot Manuel brothers, Nelson Manuel and Hugh Manuel and sister, Olenor M. Fontenot.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Monday, April 14th from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm and again on Tuesday, April 15th from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm Monday evening.
