It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of, Leon Carol Fontenot 77, announce his passing, on Thursday, December 7, 2017. Leon a resident of Ville Platte Born May 16, 1940 to the late Hosea and Edmae Fontenot in Point Blue.

Leon worked for Evangeline Floor Covering Company for many years. He was a specialist in all types of flooring installation. Most people would delay their jobs in order to have his expertise.

Leon is survived by his wife of 58 years Ronella Fontenot, son T-Joe Fontenot and wife Claudia, daughters Kayren Fontenot Ortego and husband Robert, and Elizabeth Yvette Jagneaux and husband Tracey, and his brother Ransdal Glenn Fontenot. Leon was also A marvelous grandfather to, Taylor Ortego, Ryan Lee Ortego, Drake Fontenot, Aubree Fontenot, Kelsey Jagneaux, Reygan Jagneaux, Tre' Fontenot, Dreu Fontenot and, Sawyer Jagneaux. He was also a proud Great- Grandfather to Audrey Kay Ortego and, Austyn Fontenot.

Leon was preceded in death by his parents Hosea and Edmae Fontenot and his daughter Terri Ann Fontenot.

A Memorial Service will be held at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 9:00 AM. A reception will follow at the Family Life Center.
