ST. LANDRY The devoted family of Lenes Paul Joubert, 84, is sad to announce the death of their patriarch. Lenes passed away at his residence in St. Landry on Wednesday, May 14, 2014. His life will be celebrated during a Funeral of Christian Burial which will take place at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel of Ville Platte at 2:00 PM Sunday, May 18, 2014. Burial will follow in the St. Theresa Catholic Cemetery in St. Landry with the Rev. Joe Jenkins conducting the services.
Mr. Joubert was a true outdoorsman, he was an avid hunter but he also had a soft spot for all animals. Lenes made his living farming he always worked tirelessly to support his beloved family.
A loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Lenes leaves behind the love of his life, his adoring wife of sixty two years, Lorene Guillory Joubert of St. Landry and their children: Stephen Paul Joubert and his wife Yare of Poza Rica, Mexico, John David Joubert and his wife, Kyla Claire of St. Landry, Janice J. Helmer and her husband, Bobby of Bayou Chicot, Martha J. Jenkins and her husband, Joe of Breaux Bridge and Diana J. Taylor and her husband William of Lafayette. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of his grandchildren, he was blessed with thirteen: Tony Jenkins, Julie Paul, Brandy Baudoin, Paul Joubert, Dr. Jessica Brady, Dr. Kyla Joubert, John Taylor Joubert, Brittany Catoire, Benjamin Joubert, Katherine Taylor, Kyle Taylor, Emily Joubert and Heather Joubert. He was further blessed with eight great grandchildren they were the absolute light of his life.
He will now rest in Heaven with his parents, Gabriel and Regina Guillory Joubert, two brothers and four sisters. They surely await his arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.
At the request of the Joubert family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home of Ville Platte beginning at 4:00 PM Saturday, May 17, 2014 and will continue until 9:00 PM and again at 12:00 PM Sunday, May 18, 2014 until the time of the services. A Rosary will be recited, in his honor, Saturday evening at 7:00 PM.
