CARENCRO ~ Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on August 27, 2018 in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Joshua Troy Lajaunie, 41, who passed away Thursday, August 23, 2018 at his residence in Carencro.

Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Lafayette.

Deacon Ken Soignier of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge will officiate at the services.

Musical selections will be provided by Karen Broussard. Amazing Grace, The Old Rugged Cross, On Eagle's Wings and One Day At A Time.

Josh was employed with Gulf Coast Wood Work in Lafayette for 24 years. He enjoyed and was very passionate about his work, fishing, crawfishing, hunting, being outdoors and spending time with his friends and family.

Survivors include his loving wife, Cristi Richard of Carencro; his mother, Romona Ann Lajaunie of Scott; one daughter, Angelle Lajaunie of Lafayette; one son, Braxton Lajaunie; maternal grandmother, Lenny Mae Daley of Carencro; his sister, Cassie Brooke Bidstrup and husband Brent of Opleousas and Bobby Dwyer and Kailie Richard who he considered his children; two nephews, Kade Bidstrup and Konnor Bidstrup and one niece, Karlie Bidstrup.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Edwin Lajaunie; paternal grandparents, Leroy and Heloise Latour Lajaunie; his maternal grandfather, Riley Daley; and infant sister, Brandy Lajauine.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm Sunday, August 26, 2018 and will continue from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Monday.

Pallbearers will be Brent Bidstrup, Victor Trahan, Corey LeBlanc, Bobby Dwyer, Lenny Mier, Jason Lajaunie, Brannon Lajaunie and Kade Bidstrup. Honorary pallbearers will be Braxton Lajaunie and
