VILLE PLATTE-Joseph Richard "Richie" Brunet, Jr., born in Eunice and a resident of Point Blue, went to his heavenly reward at the age of 48 in Lafayette on Thursday, August 25, 2016.

Richie dedicated over 18 years working for the Solid Waste Commission. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors.

Richie is survived by his wife Bridget Vidrine Brunet of Point Blue, son Jobe Richard Brunet of Point Blue, dad Richard Brunet of Point Blue, mother Sandra Chapman and step-dad LJ Chapman of Belaire Cove and sister Shelley Fruge and Daniel of Belaire Cove.

Richie was preceded in death by his step-daughter Darian Bridget Vidrine, grandparents Gill and Pearl Mayeaux and Gerand and Regina Brunet.

Visitation will be Tuesday August 30, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church beginning at 10:00 am until 11:00am with a funeral service to follow.

Arrangements are entrusted to Ardoin's Funeral Home of Ville Platte, La.
