VILLE PLATTE It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of John Jerry Co Co DeVille, 62, announces his passing on Saturday, November 05, 2011 at Opelousas General Hospital after a short illness. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, November 08, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Rite of Committal will follow in the Gates of Heaven Cemetery with Fr. Richard Vidrine as Celebrant.
A devoted father, grandchildren, brother and friend, his memory will be cherished by his beloved daughters, Amanda Foret and her husband, Stacey, of Ville Platte, Ashley Johnson and her husband, John, of Lafayette and his dear stepdaughter, Valerie Robinson of Pine Prairie. John also leaves behind one brother, Earlis Red McDaniel and a host of loving family and friends. But the real light of his life were his precious grandchildren he leaves behind seven. Mr. DeVille made his living as a chef, working in the off shore industry he spent his spare time going to the moives and he also enjoyed shopping. However, his greatest love was his family.
He will now join in Heaven, his daughter, Gheri Nicole Blood, his son, Scotty John DeVille and his parents, Nason and Exena Deville. They await his arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Ville Platte beginning Monday, November 7, 2011 at 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM and again Tuesday, November 8, 2011 from 8:00 AM until time of services. A Rosary will be recited Monday evening at 7:00 PM.
