VILLE PLATTE- It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of JoAnna Durbin, age 69, announces her passing on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Opelousas General Hospital. A Catholic Service will be held on Friday, September 18, 2015 at 1 PM in the Ardoin's Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Evangeline Memorial Park Cemetery with Father Theodore Broussard as Celebrant.
JoAnna was a proud graduate of Northside High School in 1963 finishing 3rd in her class.
A loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend, JoAnna will be missed by her loving husband of 20 years, Glen Allen Durbin of Ville Platte, sons, Timothy Champagne and wife Carmen of Lafayette and Joey Champagne of Carencro, daughter, Kim Champagne of Lafayette and sister, Catherine Bernard Romero. Also left behind to cherish her memory are her 5 grandchildren: Jamie Guilbeau, Tayler Champagne Guillory, Cody Champagne, Madison Champagne, Griffen Champagne and 4 great grandchildren: Emma Guillory, Adalyn Guillory, Olivia Delafusse and Jacquelynn Reed.
Pallbearers will include Tim Champagne, Joey Champagne, Cody Champagne, Kirk Champagne, Greg Chretien, Todd Bijeaux and Honorary Pallbearers will be Brian West, Chris Romero, David Romero and Griffin Champagne.
JoAnna now rests in heaven with her parents, James Junius and Doris Landry Bernard, first husband, Elias "Al" Champagne and her sister, Patsy Bernard Montin.
At the request of the Durbin Family, a visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Ville Platte from 12 PM until 9 PM and again on September 18, 2015 at 8 AM until time of services. A rosary will be prayed in JoAnna's honor on September 17, 2015 at 6 PM.
Arrangements are entrusted to Ardoin's Funeral Home of Ville Platte, La.
