VILLE PLATTEIt is with great sorrow that the family of Jeanette Bacon Fontenot, 73, announces her passing on Thursday, March 28, 2012 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3:30 PM Friday, March 30, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Ville Platte. Rite of Committal will follow in the Evangeline Memorial Park Cemetery with Fr. Joshua Guillory as Celebrant.
A devoted mother, grandmother and sister, Jeanette leaves behind her three loving daughters: Rhonda F. Marcantel and her husband, Dale, of Faubourg, Paula Kay Manuel and her husband, Craig, of Ville Platte and Catherine F. LaFosse and her husband, Joey, of Zwolle. She is also survived by one sister, Carolyn DeRanger and her husband, Gene, of Ville Platte. Her memory will most certainly be cherished by her two grandsons: Paul Y. Fontenot and Daniel Manuel they were the light of her life.
She now rests in Heaven with her first husband, J. Y. Fontenot and her second husband, Rodney J. LaFleur. They await her arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home of Ville Platte, beginning Thursday, March 29, 2012 at 3:00 PM until 10:00 PM visitation will continue on Friday, March 30, 2012 from 8:00 AM until time of the services. Thursday evening a Rosary will be prayed in honor at 6:30 PM.
