Jeanetta Vidrine

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Jeanetta Mary Vidrine at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Sacred Heart Belaire Cove Chapel officiated by Father Andrew Killeen. Burial will follow at Belaire Cove Cemetery. Jeanetta passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2023, at Lafayette General Hospital. She was born on December 10, 1937, in Ville Platte to the late Alcid and Elna Vidrine. Jeanetta adored spending time with her family. She was a devout catholic who spent many hours praying her rosary. Through her faith she was an example and by virtue instilled the faith and values into her children and grandchildren. Jeanetta also enjoyed gardening and raising chickens.

She is survived by two sons, Gene Lee (Sherral) and Patrick Lee (Mary); seven grandchildren, Shaunda Lee (Bobby Hipps), Misty Lee (Chris Ardoin), Lyndsey Lee (Kyle Guillory), Leslie Lee, Brandie Lee, Cecilia Lee, and Jordan Lee; nine great-grandchildren, Mindy Soileau, Zack Soileau, Alex Soileau, Brantley Lee, Isabella Lee, Isaiah Lee, Cayden Fontenot, Drew Fontenot, and  Drake Fontenot; seven great-great-grandchildren, Cayson Anderson, C.J. Anderson, Cleyton Anderson, James Catoire, Kenzie Soileau, Dakota Soileau, and Abel Soileau; godchild, Phyllis Fontenot; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alcid and Elna Vidrine; son, Paul Lee; three grandchildren, Jake Lee, Christopher Lee, and Noah Lee; one great-great-grandchild, Maiselynn Anderson; and sister, Erna Chapman.

Visitation will be held from 2:00-8:00 PM on Friday, April 14, 2023, at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Ville Platte and a Rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM.
