PINE PRAIRIE It is with heavy hearts that the family of James Randal DeLafosse, 52, announces his passing on Wednesday, March 26, 2014. A Mass of Christian Burial will celebrate Randys life at 1:30 PM Saturday, March 29, 2014 that Mass will be celebrated at St. Peters Catholic Church of Pine Prairie, with Rite of Committal to follow in the St. Peters Cemetery. Father Richard Broussard will officiate the services.
Randys family will mourn his passing but the angels certainly rejoice in his company. Left behind are his beloved siblings: Phillip DeLafosse and his wife, Teri of Easton, Veronica Ortego and her husband, J.C. and Ramona Compton and her husband, Jason both of Pine Prairie. He will also be sadly missed by his stepfather, George Granger of Pine Prairie. His memory will be cherished by his nephews: Devin and Joshua Ortego, Jacob and Cory Compton and Dylan DeLafosse and his great nieces and nephew: Sarah Ortego, Olivia Compton and Nicholas Ortego. Randys bright eyes and huge smile will always be fondly remembered by all who were lucky enough to have enjoyed his companionship.
He will now rest in Heaven with his devoted parents, Hersey DeLafosse and Mary DeLafosse Granger. Their reunion will most certainly be a joyous occasion.
At the request of the DelaFosse family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home of Ville Platte beginning at 12:00 PM Friday, March 28, 2014 and will continue until 10:00 PM and resume Saturday morning at 8:00 AM and continue until the time of the services. A Rosary will be recited in his honor Friday evening at 6:30 PM.
