Funeral services will be held at a 2:00 pm Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte on Friday, December 20, 2019, for Jacqueline M. Cary Lawrence, 72, who passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2019, in Pine Prairie.

Father Tom Voohries, Pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, will be celebrant of the mass and will conduct the funeral services.

Burial will take place in the Evangeline Memorial Cemetery in Ville Platte.

Jacqueline M. Cary Lawrence was born in Ville Platte on October 15, 1947 to Kearnie LaFleur Sr. and Lena Rae Fontenot. Jacqueline loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, with all of her heart, strength, and soul. She lived her faith well and was selfless in her service to God and family.  She was a very charismatic, sweet person with a big heart.  Her sense of humor, giving spirit, and determination in life brought much comfort and strength to others. She will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved this beautiful lady.

Jacqueline is survived by her Daughters, Angela C. Fontenot and husband, Darrell, Melanie Cary Webb and husband, Kenneth; grandchildren: Maggie Fontenot, Sam Fontenot and wife, Ashley, Faith Ducote and husband Corey, Christian Fontenot, and Danae Webb; great grandchildren: Jaxson Fontenot, Rylee Grace Fontenot, Hannah Kate Fontenot, Lillian Ducote, and Robyn Ducote; brother Kearnie LaFleur and wife, Judy; sisters Peggy Duplechin and Rosie Manuel; and her best friend, her fur baby and constant companion, Penny.

Jacqueline is preceded in death by parents, Kearnie LaFleur Sr. and Lena Rae Fontenot, husbands, David Cary and Major Robert Lawrence, and son, Chadwick Cary.

The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Friday, December 20, 2019 from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm.  A rosary will be recited at 10:00 am Friday by Deacon Gene LeBouef.
