Herman Leger was born in Arnaudville, Louisiana on May 30, 1934 to Bertrand and Valentine Dohmann Leger.  Herman spent his entire life working in the appliance repair industry.  He worked at Main Tire and Appliance which later became Leger’s Appliance Center.  When Herman wasn’t working to provide for his family, he enjoyed watching sports, especially football.  His greatest joy however was that of spending time with his family and grandchildren.  This hard working, loving husband, father and grandfather will be greatly missed, and his memory will live on through those he cherished the most.

Herman is survived by his daughter, Leslie Morgan and husband, David of Ville Platte; two sons, Tommy Leger and wife, Laura and David Neal Leger both of Arnaudville; four grandchildren, Logan Leger, Marc Smith, Joshua Smith, and Rebecca Ortego; two great grandchildren, Kinslee Leger and Remington Leger; and one great grandchild on the way, Sarah Leger.

Herman is preceded in death by his parent, Bertrand and Valentine Dohmann Leger;  his wife, Helena Moreau Leger, the love of his life; and son-in-law, Joseph Ortego.

The family requests that visitation be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Tuesday, December 15 from 9:00 am until time of service.
