VILLE PLATTE It is with extreme sadness that the family of Helen Jane Chautin, 76, announces her passing on Monday, February 13, 2012 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte she was surrounded by her loving family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Rite of Committal will follow in the B. J. Fontenot Cemetery in Ville Platte with Fr. Mitchell Guidry officiating the services.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, motherinlaw and sister, Helen leaves behind her loving husband of 56 years, Leroy Chautin of Ville Platte and her two children, Scott Chautin and his wife, Kathy of Minden, La. and Tammy C. Johnson and her husband, David of Ville Platte. She is also survived by one brother, Harold Fontenot of Bossier City, La. Her memory will most certainly be cherished by her four grandchildren: Ted Johnson, Britney Johnson, Spencer Chautin and Hunter Chautin, they were truly the light of her life. She will also be sadly missed by her constant companion, her little dog, Dolly. Helens family and countless friends will always remember her as an angel on earth. She was a devoted Catholic whose deep faith carried her throughout her life she blessed her family with her undying love, constant kindness and gentle spirit, these gifts will stay with them forever.
She now joins in Heaven her dear parents, Lawrence and Agnes Fontenot they await her arrival with joyous hearts and open arms.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Ville Platte beginning Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at 11:00 AM
and continuing until time of services Thursday. A Rosary will be recited in her honor Wednesday evening at 6:00 PM.
Pallbearers will be Ted Johnson, David Johnson, Ricky Fontenot, Charles LaFleur, Chet Chautin and Todd Chautin.
