Hazel Dardeau

VILLE PLATTE – Funeral services will be held at a 10:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 for Hazel Pitre Dardeau, 97, who passed away on Friday, July 26, 2019.

Father Jude Israel, Hazel’s nephew,  will be celebrant of the mass and will conduct funeral service.

Burial will take place in Gates of Heaven Cemetery.

Hazel Pitre Dardeau was born on September 09, 1921 in Tate Cove, LA to Oscar and Louise Dardeau Pitre. A longtime resident of Ville Platte, Ms. Hazel owned LaMode Shoe Store for 21 years.  She was a member of The Catholic Daughters for 30 years.  She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son, Michael Dardeau and wife Jessica Vidrine Dardeau of Gonzales, LA; daughter, Judy Dardeau Garber Jennings and husband Lynn Jennings of Winter Park, FL; sister, Joy Baracca; brother, Oscar Burke Pitre; two granddaughters; two grandsons; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Gordon Lee Dardeau; parents, Oscar and Louise Dardeau Pitre; and grandson, Dustin Paul Garber.

The family requests that visitation be observed at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 from 8:30 AM until time of service.
