VILLE PLATTE - It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Gilbert Dwayne Lavergne, 50, announces his passing on Saturday, November 28, 2015. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Our Lady Queen of all Saints Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow in the Eternal Rest Cemetery with Father Mitchell Guidry officiating services.
A loving son, father, brother, and uncle, Dwayne will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Mary Lavergne of Ville Platte, son Tyler Dwayne Lavergne of Houston, Texas, sister Tammy Lavergne Jorden and husband Michael of Ville Platte, and many nieces, nephews, and great nephews.
He now rests with his father Joseph Sylvester Lavergne.
At the request of the Lavergne family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Monday, November 30, 2015 from 2:00 - 9:00 PM and again on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 from 8:00 AM until time of service. A rosary will be prayed in his honor on Monday evening at 6:00 PM.
