VILLE PLATTE It is with the heaviest of hearts that the family of Genevieve Bourque Carroll, 65, announces her passing on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at Mercy Regional Medical Center of Ville Platte. A Funeral of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Friday, March 21, 2014 at Ardoins Funeral Home of Ville Platte with Rite of Committal to follow in the VerrettGodeaux Cemetery. Deacon Gene LeBeouf will officiate the services.
A devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Genevieve leaves behind a daughter, Crystal Carroll of Sulphur and a stepson, Brian Carroll and his wife, Melanie of Opelousas. She was blessed with four grandchildren: Destinee Kamareddine, Brice Kamareddine, Chelsea Carroll and Sloane Carroll they were the absolute light of her life. Also left behind, her brothers: Ray Bourque and his wife, Becky of Church Point, Carson Joubert and his wife, Cynthia of Plaisance and Carl Joubert of Ville Platte and her sisters: Shirley Borland of Lafayette, Brenda Vidrine and her husband, Mike of Ville Platte. Her memory will surely be carried on by her numerous nieces and nephews and countless friends she meant so much, to so many.
Genevieve will now rest in Heaven with her beloved parents: her father, Wilbur Bourque, her mother, Beverly Dupre Bourque Joubert and her stepfather, Willie Joubert. She will also reunite with her siblings, J. C. Joubert, Katherine Bourque and Debbie Joubert they surely await her arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home of Ville Platte beginning at 10:00 AM Thursday, March 20, 2014 and will continue until 10:00 PM that evening visitation will resume at 8:00 AM Friday and continue until the time of the service. A Rosary will be recited in her honor at 6:00 PM Thursday evening.
