VILLE PLATTE It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Garic Louis LaTour, 74, announces his passing on Friday, March 29, 2013 at his residence. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 1, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Rite of committal will follow in the Chapel of the Resurrection Cemetery in Whiteville with Father Joshua Guillory celebrant.
A loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather, Garic will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 51 years, Lorina LaTour, three daughters Jeanite Fontenot and husband Adrian of Ville Platte, Tina Brignac and husband Dwayne of Whiteville, Nicole Snoddy and husband Jody of Ville Platte, and two brothers Woody LaTour of Whiteville and Clyde LaTour of Ville Platte. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his 7 grandchildren Zachary Fontenot, Dorie Fontenot, Clay Brignac, Casie Brignac Addington, Sadie Fontenot, Eric Fusilier, and Maggie Fusilier, and his great grandchildren Tristin Fontenot, Ryker Addington, and Leena Beth Brignac.
He now rest in heaven with his parents Garic and Ada LaTour.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Saturday, March 30 from 1:00 PM until 10:00 PM, Sunday, March 31 from 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM, and Monday, April 1 from 8:00 AM until time of service. A rosary will be prayed in his honor on Sunday evening at 7:00 PM.
