VILLE PLATTE It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Felisa Lopez Deshotel, 91, announces her passing on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Savoy Medical Center of Mamou her beloved family was with her when she peacefully left this world to join her Savior in the next. A Celebration of Felisas life will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, February 22, 2014 at The Holy Spirit Catholic Chapel of Vidrine, to be preceeded by an hour of visitation beginning at 12:00 PM.
A devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, Felisa leaves behind her only daughter, Mary Arleen Vidrine of the Vidrine community. Her memory will be cherished by her precious grandchildren: Katie Buller, Alicia Kelly, John Phillips and Christina P. Ardoin. She was further blessed with seven great children they were the absolute light of her life. Felisa also leaves behind countless friends they will surely miss her sweet smile and engaging conversations. Felisa devoted her life to the care and happiness of her family it was her true passion and her lifes goal.
She will now reunite in Heaven with her beloved husband Mayonse Deshotel, her only son, Paul Romero Vidrine and her mother, Emanuel Lopez. Their reunion will be a joyous one, indeed.
