VILLE PLATTE - Funeral services will be held with an 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte on Saturday, April 28, 2018, for Eva Soileau, 79, who passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2018 in Ville Platte, LA.
Father Taj Glodd will be celebrant of the mass and will conduct the funeral services.
Burial will take place in the Evangeline Memorial Cemetery in Ville Platte.
Eva Soileau was life-long resident of Ville Platte, LA, where she worked as a legal secretary for William Pucheu in his private practice and during his time as District Attorney. The youngest of thirteen children, Eva loved to read, especially true crime stories. She enjoyed keeping up with family and friends on Facebook, playing Scrabble and solitaire. She loved to sing and dance, cook for her family, and owned and trained horses with her husband. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt to many nieces and nephews. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her son, Todd Soileau; daughters: Sheila LaFleur, Penny Soileau, and Tricia Broach and her husband, Mitch; her sister, Norma Jean Joubert; grandchildren: Mickey Pierrotti, Summer Berzas and her husband, Garette, Jeremy Broach and his wife, Lauren, Kasey Marcantel, Jessie Miller and her husband, Alex, Heather Perron and her husband, Jerome; and 13 great grandchildren.
She is pre-deceased by her husband of 60 years, Bruce Soileau, parents, Orise and Eudia Chapman, and 6 brothers and 5 sisters.
The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Friday, April 27, 2018 from 11:00 AM until 9:00 PM. A rosary will be recited by Deacon Gene LeBouef at 6:30 PM on Friday. Visitation will continue Saturday from 8:00 AM until time of service.
