VILLE PLATTE It is great sadness that the family of Ethel G. Roberie, 89, announces her passing on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Ville Platte. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 23, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Interment will follow in the Evangeline Memorial Park Cemetery.
She will be lovingly remembered by her only son, Jerry L. Dupre and her daughter in law, Jeanette, of Ville Platte, her brother, Doward L. Guillory and his wife, Lee Anna also of Ville Platte and her sister, Deola Silva of Beaumont, Texas. Her memory will also be cherished by her beloved grandchildren, Cindy Dupre Young Matthews and Kerry Dupre both of Ville Platte, her three great grandchildren, Callie Young Vidrine of Denham Springs, Jenna Cay Young of Houston, Texas and Sarah Dupre of Ville Platte. She also leaves behind the light of her life, her greatgreat grandchild, Catherine Vidrine of Denham Springs.
She now rests in Heaven with both her first husband, Hillry Dupre, and her second husband, Collins Roberie. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Hosea and Olivia Guillory, one brother, Embris Guillory, two sisters, Hazel Gotro and Lou Anna Ward and one great grandchild, Jessica Young.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Friday, September 23, 2011 from 12:00 PM until 9:00 PM and again on Saturday, September 24, 2011 from 8:00 AM until time of services. A Rosary will be recited Friday evening with exact time still pending.
