VILLE PLATTE - Eniavale "Minnie" Saucier Johnson, age 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, February 15, 2019 in Ville Platte.
Minnie was born July 27, 1942 in Lettsworth, Louisiana to Albert and Clementine Saucier. For over 10 years, Minnie was a child care provider and cherished the time she spent with the children, many of whom knew her as, "Neenie". She later married her longtime friend and love, Harvey Johnson of Ville Platte where together they would reside and enjoy 41 years of camping, fishing, socializing with family and friends , "passing a good time" dancing with her lifelong dance partner Harvey.
Minnie leaves behind to cherish her memory husband, Harvey Johnson of Ville Platte; sister, Peggy Knapp of Baton Rouge; brother, Clifford Saucier of Alabama; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by parents, Albert and Clementine Saucier; sister, Julia Anderson; and brothers, TJ Saucier and Albert "Dukeen" Saucier, Jr.
Visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Sunday, February 17, 2019 from 2pm until 9pm and Monday, February 18, 2019 from 8am until time of service. A rosary will be recited Sunday evening at 6:30 pm.
Father Picard Pastor of St. Peter's Catholic Church will conduct funeral services.
Interment immediately to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery in Grand Prairie.
Pall bearers are Glenn Knapp, Anthony Lachney, Mark Saucier, William Saucier, Kenny Saucier, and Glenn Ortego. Honorary pall bearers are Gene Smith and David Knapp, III.
