VILLE PLATTE It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Emma Jones, 76, announces her passing on Sunday, September 8, 2013 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Opelousas. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Rite of Committal will follow in the Evangeline Memorial Park Cemetery with Fr. Joshua Guillory officiating services.
A loving mother, grandmother, and sister, Emma will be fondly remembered by her three sons Bob Jones, Jr. of Ville Platte, Greg Jones of Ville Platte, and Kim Jones of Baton Rouge, her daughter Debbie Jones of Ville Platte, and her brother Gene Soileau of Ville Platte. Also left behind to cherish her memory are her seven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
She now joins in Heaven her parents Otis and Hazel Manuel Soileau.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Monday, September 9, 2013 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and again on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 from 8:00 AM until time of services. A rosary will be recited Monday evening at 6:00 PM.
