Ville Platte Funeral services for Dorothy Nell Smith, 59, will be held Thursday, October 25, 2007 at 1:30pm in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Old Ville Platte Cemetery. Fr. Gene Tremie will officiate the services.

Ms. Smith, a resident of Walker and a native of Ville Platte, died Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at 3pm in Flannery Oaks Guest House in Baton Rouge.

Survivors include a brother, Irvin Smith of Gonzales and a sister, Emma Joy Rider of Delray Beach, Fl.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 24, 2007 from 4pm until 10pm and on Thursday from 8am until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 6pm Wednesday.
