VILLE PLATTE It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Doris Ruth Leger Clark, 75, announces her passing on December 27, 2014 at Louisiana Extended Care Hospital in Lafayette. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 2:00 PM at St. Peters Catholic Church in Pine Prairie. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Peters Church Cemetery with Father Richard Broussard celebrant.
Doris was an active member of St. Edmonds Catholic Church in Lafayette. She was also a past member and president of the Christian Womens Club of Lafayette. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family which includes her husband of 58 years Curtis Clark, two sons Dr. Roderick Clark and wife Dr. Tina of Lafayette and Vince Clark of Jennings, two brothers Samuel Leger and wife Cheryl and Stanley Leger and wife Pearline all of Turkey Creek, and two sisters Janet Thibodeaux and husband Harold of Vinton and Nell Soileau and husband Nolan of Pine Prairie. Also left behind to cherish her memory are her four grandchildren who she greatly loved and adored: Christopher Clark, Cassie Clark, Chase Clark, and Ava Clark.
Doris now rests in Heaven with her parents Horace and Beulah Deville Leger.
At the request of the Clark family, visitation will take place at Ardoins Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Monday, December 29, 2014 from 4:30 PM to 9:00 PM and again on Tuesday from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM. A rosary will be recited in her honor Monday evening at 6:30 PM.
