VILLE PLATTE - It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Debra Sue Bolfa, a resident of Ville Platte, announces her passing on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at the age of 58. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 21 at 2:00 PM at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Rite of Committal will take place in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Pine Prairie with Father Mitchell Guidry officiating services.
Debra enjoyed spending time with her husband, daughters, and grandchildren. She loved to sew and work in her garden. Debra was a kind hearted, loving, and caring person. She will be greatly missed by her husband of 38 years, Larry James Bolfa, three daughters Brandy Gautreaux and husband Joe, Tiffany Fontenot and husband Chuncey Fontenot, and Tammy Fontenot and husband Logan all of Pine Prairie. Also left behind to cherish her memory are her six grandchildren: Seth Gautreaux, Zachery Gautreaux, Sydney Fontenot, Adalynn Fontenot, Kayleigh Fontenot, Alyssa Fontenot, two sisters Sandra Riley and Mary Sherritt both of Moss Bluff, sister-in-law Angie Bolfa, Godchild Emily Riley of Moss Bluff, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She now rest with her parents Leona Fontenot and Leza Darbonne, sister Betty Jane Wimberly, brother Brady James Darbonne, and niece Rachel Miller.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Monday, March 20, 2017, from 3:00 PM until time of service on Tuesday. A rosary will be prayed in her memory Monday evening at 6:00 PM.
