Curtis Deville

VILLE PLATTE-Funeral Services for Curtis Lee Deville, 65, will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 2, 2022, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Father Tom Voohries will be the officiant of the service.

Curtis Lee Deville, 65, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022. He was born on August 21, 1957, in Ville Platte, LA to the late Marcialle  and Gladys Deville. Curtis worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator on pipelines and construction for many years.  He enjoyed a variety of hobbies which included cooking, riding motorcycles, playing with his cows, and fishing. Curtis relished time spent with family and friends and adored his dog, Mezad. He was known for his wicked sense of humor and the ability to make people laugh.

He is survived by his brother, Donald Deville; sisters, Gwendolyn Deville Barton (Larry Johnstone) and Sandra Deville; nephews, Benjamin Barton and Nicholas Barton; niece, Shelby Helmer Vidrine (Samuel Vidrine); great-niece; Vivian Vidrine; dog, Mezad; and numerous family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Marcialle and Gladys Deville.

Visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Ville Platte on Saturday, October 2, 2002, from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A rosary will be recited at 5:30 PM. Visitation will resume on Sunday, October 2, 2022, from 10:00 AM until time of service.
