Corey Israel

VILLE PLATTE- It is with great sadness that the family of Corey Israel, age 30, of Ville Platte announces his passing. A Memorial Service will be held in Corey's honor at Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Chataignier on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 11:00 AM.

Corey was a kind hearted young man with lots of ambition, and he was well liked by everyone. He had a great love for his family and was very fond of his puppy, Gabby. Corey will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Corey is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Theresa Tate and Marius Ortego, and his paternal grandparents, Pauline Douga and Attaway Israel.

His memories will live on through his family. Corey is survived by his mother, Kim Ortego White of Ville Platte, LA; his father, Lawrence Dean "Catfish" Israel of Ville Platte, LA; his two sisters, Kayla Israel of Pineville, LA, and Kylie Israel Phillips of Ville Platte, LA; his brother, Christopher Israel and wife, Sherrie of Baton Rouge, LA; his godmother, Jenny Ortego of Ville Platte, LA; his nieces, Madison Naquin and Alexa Israel; his nephews, Corbin Phillips, Trey Voorhies and Xander Phillips; and his numerous aunts, uncles, and friends.
