GLENMORA It is with heavy hearts that the family of Clifton John MacIver, 78, of Glenmora, La., announces his passing on Friday, September 20, 2013 at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, LA.
A Funeral of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Sunday, September 22, 2013 at the Alexandria Memorial Gardens Cemetery of Alexandria burial will follow immediately with Rev. Roger Whittington officiating the services.
A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, Clifton leaves behind his devoted wife of 53 years, Juanita Mc Cann MacIver of Glenmora and their precious children: Angus MacIver and his wife, Dilek of Pueblo, CO., Donald MacIver and his wife, Mary of Brooknell, VA. and Tina MacIver Messer of Glenmora. He will certainly be mourned by his siblings: Burton MacIver of Barrington, N.H., Kenneth MacIver of Gonic N.H., Francis MacIver of Tampa, FL. and Eleanor MacIver, also of Gonic, N.H. His memory will surely be carried on by his six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren he considered himself to be truly blessed with each of them, they were his absolute greatest joy in this world.
Clifton served his country with great pride and honor as a veteran of the United States Air Force. He provided for his family by working tirelessly in the construction industry, he was so very proud of the work he did building countless bridges, highways and sky scrapers.
He will now reunite in Heaven with his beloved son, Clifton A. MacIver, his parents, Angus and Marjorie Guy MacIver and two brothers, Donald MacIver and Allard MacIver. They, without doubt, await his arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.
