VILLE PLATTE It is with heavy hearts that the family of Carlton Vidrine, 87, announces his passing on Friday, February 1, 2013 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home of Ville Platte. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Monday, February 4, 2013 at The Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church of Ville Platte. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Andrews Cemetery of Plaisance with Father Garrett McIntyre as Celebrant.
Carlton was a devoted father, grandfather and brother he will be mourned by his children: Donald Ray Vidrine and his wife, Audrey of Reddell, Steve Vidrine and his wife, Mary Ann of Ville Platte, Kenneth Vidrine and his wife, Joan of Westlake, Terry Vidrine and his wife, Lorri of Grand Prairie, John Anthony Vidrine and his wife, Jo Anna of Pine Prairie and Jackie Vidrine DeVille of Ville Platte. His memory will be carried on by his twenty grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. Also left behind are his siblings: Bobby Vidrine of Grand Prairie, Malbrose Lee of Ville Platte, Gloria Matte of Carencro and Ellen Jane Vidrine of Grand Prairie.
He will reunite in Heaven with his beloved wife, Rosa Mae Jagneaux Vidrine and his parents, Edovic and Amy Fontenot Vidrine. They await his arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home of Ville Platte beginning at 10:00 AM Sunday, February 3, 2013 and continuing until 9:00 PM that evening and will resume Monday morning at 8:00 AM. A Rosary will be recited in his honor at 7:00 PM Sunday, February 3, 2013.
