WHITEVILLE - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Carl Kent Thibodeaux at 12:00 PM on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at the Resurrection Chapel in Whiteville, La. Father Donavan Labbe will celebrate the Mass.
Carl Kent Thibodeaux, 63, passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at his residence surrounded by his family. Carl was born on January 28, 1959, in Ville Platte, LA to Hubert and Lillian Thibodeaux. He was a longtime and dedicated employee with the DOTD. Carl loved cooking suppers for his family and friends. He enjoyed traveling, hunting, and listening to music. Carl will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his sister, Pat DeJean of Lafayette; brother, Richard Thibodeaux of Bossier City; three nieces, Sommar McDaniel of Lafayette, Adrienne Wanek and husband, Todd of Benton, and Kelsey Olivier of Port Barre; three nephews, Christopher DeJean and wife, Kim of North Carolina, Brandon DeJean and wife, Stephanie of Youngsville, and Seth Thibodeaux and wife, Lauren of Shreveport; and six great nieces and nephews, Zaine, Godric, Korben, Natalie, Bradley, and Andrew.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Lillian Thibodeaux; brother, John Dale Thibodeaux; sister, Janice Thibodeaux; and sister-in-law, Candace Thibodeaux.
Visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Ville Platte on Friday, February 18, 2022, from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM. A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday, February 19, 2022, from 8:00 AM until time of service.
