VILLE PLATTE It is with immense sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Caitlyn Ann Fontenot, 17, announces her passing on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Lafayette General Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at The Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church of Ville Platte with Rite of Committal to follow in the Jules Cemetery of Ville Platte. Father Brian Harrington will act as Celebrant for all services.
Caitlyn, a junior at Ville Platte High School, will be mourned by her devoted parents, Shannon and Shelia Fontenot of Ville Platte and her beloved sister, Megan Fontenot, also of Ville Platte. Her memory will be cherished by her paternal grandparents: Winston Fontenot and Leta Fontenot of Ville Platte. Caitlyn was blessed with a precious Godchild and niece: Ainslee Brown of Ville Platte. She will also be sadly missed by the father of her son, Olanjerwan Leday. Caitlyn also leaves behind numerous friends and classmates her bright smile and sweet laugh will be remembered by all whom were lucky enough to have known her.
She will now rest in Heaven with her beloved infant son, Kylen Reese Leday and her maternal grandparents, James and Ethel Lee Brown Johnson their reunion will surely be a joyous one.
At the request of the Fontenot family, visitation will take place at Ardoins Funeral Home of Ville Platte beginning at 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 4, 2014 and will continue until 10:00 PM that evening and again Wednesday morning at 8:00 AM and will continue until the time of the services. A Rosary will be recited in her honor at 6:00 PM Tuesday evening.
