WASHINGTON It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Brad Allen Johnson, 36, announces his passing on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at his residence. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 AM, Friday, September 9, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Rite of Committal will follow at the Evangeline Memorial Park Cemetery with Fr. Joshua Guillory acting as Celebrant.
A loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend, Brad leaves behind his wife of seventeen years, Carie Craig Johnson and his beloved children, Bryce Johnson, Aaron Johnson and Adrian Johnson. He will also be mourned by his two brothers, Benjamin Johnson and his wife, Vallery, of Tate Cove and Lucas Johnson, also of Tate Cove. Also left behind, his sister Penny Barron and her husband, Juan, of Tate Cove. His memory will be carried on by his five nephews, two nieces and host of other family and friends.
Brad was owner of Johnsons Drywall Finishing, he also loved fishing and cooking.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce and Gloria Brown Jonhnson.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Ville Platte beginning Thursday, September 8, 2011 at 11:00 AM until 10:00 PM that evening. The parlor will reopen at 8:00 AM Friday morning and remain open until time of services. A Rosary will be recited Thursday evening at 6:30 PM.
