VILLE PLATTE – Benjamin Adam Johnson passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2022, in Ville Platte at the age of 44.  A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at 7:30 PM at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte.

Benjamin Adam Johnson was born on March 28, 1978, in Ville Platte, Louisiana to Bruce Allen and Gloria Dean Brown Johnson.  Benjamin loved being outdoors riding horses and ATV’s.  He also loved hunting and fishing especially on the Red River in Thistlethwaite.  Although his departure came too soon, those that loved him will cherish the memories of the years spent together.

Benjamin is survived by his daughter, Macey Rene Johnson of St. Landry; son, Branson Adam Johnson of St. Landry; sister, Penny Barron and husband, Juan of Ville Platte; brother, Lucas Johnson of Ville Platte; and the mother of his children, Valerie Thomassie of Ville Platte.  Also left behind to cherish his memory are his nieces and nephews: Daniel Barron, Matthew Barron, Blaklyn Bly, Oliver Johnson, Bryce Johnson of Grand Prairie, and Aaron Johnson of Baton Rouge.

Benjamin now rests with his parents, Bruce Allen and Gloria Dean Brown Johnson; brother, Brad Johnson; niece, Adrian Johnson; maternal grandparents, Tilly and Arise Brown; and paternal grandparents, Louis and Bernadette Johnson.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to assist with funeral expenses.
