Ville Platte Funeral services for Mr. Andrew D. Thompson, 83, will be held Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at 1pm in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Evangeline Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Thompson, a resident of Ville Platte, died Saturday, April 7, 2007 at his residence. He also was a veteran of WWII having served in the United States Army.

Survivors include his wife, Rosa Jane Vidrine Thompson of Ville Platte; one son, Andrew J. Thompson and wife, Sharon of Denham Springs; one brother, Florence Thompson and wife, Versie F. of Ville Platte; two grandchildren, Chauncey Thompson and Brittany Thompson of Ville Platte; and one nephew, Joseph Darwin Thompson of Ville Platte.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dejean and Ortens Thompson and one sister, Eliza Mae Ardoin.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 09, 2007 from 9am until 9pm and on Tuesday from 8am until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7pm Monday.
