Ville Platte Funeral services for Mr. Amaze Bertrand, 91, will be held Monday, July 23, 2007 at 1:30pm in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Eternal Rest Cemetery. Fr. Joshua Guillory will officiate the services.

Mr. Bertrand, a resident of Ville Platte, died Sunday, July 22, 2007 at 2am in Heritage Manor Nursing Home. He retired from the Highway Department.

Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Fontenot and husband, Grady of Ville Platte and Gwen Sonnier husband, Robert of Eunice; one sister, Ellie Thibodeaux of Houston, Tx.; three grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Tilda Bertrand.

Visitation will be held Sunday, July 22, 2007 from 2pm until 10pm and on Monday from 8am until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 6:30pm Sunday.
