VILLE PLATTE – A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 for Bruce Paul Bonnette, 69, who passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2019 in Ville Platte.
Bruce Bonnette was born in Marksville, Louisiana on September 15, 1949 to Haven Paul and Rita Couvillion Bonnette. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Bruce loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping. He also enjoyed watching old westerns, military movies, and The History Channel. Bruce’s greatest joy was that of spending time with his wife of 49 years, Sherry Johnson Bonnette, and their children and grandchildren.
Bruce is survived by his wife, Sherry Johnson Bonnette; two sons, Jody Bonnette and wife Rachael of Bayou Chicot and Jason Paul Bonnette of Ville Platte; one daughter, Melissa Bonnette LeJeune and husband Larry LeJeune of Bayou Chicot; four grandchildren, Brittany Lavergne and husband, Brent Lavergne, Destanie Wedlock, Brody Paul Bonnette and Sara Tate; two great grandchildren, Connor Lavergne and Amelia Wall; two sisters, Phyllis Greenhouse of Marksville and Bernadine Guillory of Mansura; one brother, Teddy Sid Bonnette of Marksville and his god-child, Roxie Ducote.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Stephen Bonnette and sister-in-law, Bertha Bonnette.
The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 from 11:00 AM until time of service.
