EUNICE~It is with great sadness that the family of J. O. LeBlanc announces his passing on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at Eunice Manor at the age of 90. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 2:30 pm on Sunday, April 14, 2019 at Ardoin's Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Deacon David Guillory officiating.
J.O. served as an officer of the Woodmen of the World - Lodge 243 was named the Man of the year 1981-1991. Since he was a young man he was active in rodeo’s and his hobbies were cooking and horses. But most of all he loved his family and spending time with them brought a great deal of joy to his life. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend and will be missed dearly by his wife of almost 70 years to Lila Thomas LeBlanc of Eunice; his daughter Susan Marie LeBlanc of Opelousas; his daughter-in-law, Taylor LeBlanc of Port Richey, FL; his sister, Carol Ann Watson and husband, Tom of Lake Charles; his granddaughter, Rachel Hobbs and husband, Wes of White Oak, TX; his two great grandchildren, Hailey and Ethan Hobbs; as well as extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his son, Steve LeBlanc; parents, Willis and Hilda Martin LeBlanc; sister, Rita Gremillion; brothers, Paul Billy LeBlanc and Willis "Cockie" LeBlanc.
The family asks in lieu of flowers, and for those who desire, memorial contributions be made to The American Heart Association or charity of ones' choice.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Sunday, April 14, 2019 from 10:00 am until time of services. Deacon David Guillory will recite a Rosary at 1:00 pm.
