MAMOU-Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou on Monday, March 18, 2018, for Betty Ann Saucier, 76, who passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Savoy Care Center in Mamou, La.
Father Billy Massie, pastor of St. Ann’s Catholic Church, will conduct the funeral services.
Entombment will take place in the Reed Cemetery in Lanse Meg.

Mrs. Betty was born in Mamou, Louisiana on February 12, 1943 to Aldus Veillon and Hazel Bourgeious Veillon. She was a loving Christian who continually gave of herself. Her first priority was caring for her family as mother, grandmother, and wife. She enjoyed cooking, canning, gardening, and baking. She co-owned and operated Saucier’s Sausage Kitchen in Lanse Meg with her husband, Don. She taught catechism at St. Ann’s Catholic Church and was a devout Catholic.

She is survived by her husband of sixty years, Don Saucier; two daughters, Debbie Aymond and husband Kerrill, Leah Bertrand and husband Randall; two sons, Tim Saucier and wife Christine, Nick Saucier and wife Abby; seven grandchildren, Kashada Triplett, Shane Aymond, Lucas Aymond, Alex Saucier, Amber Aymond, Josh Bertrand, and Nora Ann Saucier; seven great grandchildren, Adelyn Triplett, Christopher Aymond, Payton Aymond, Bailey Aymond, Jackson Saucier, Braxton Aymond, and Ava Aymond.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Aldus and Hazel Veillon; one brother, Floyd Veillon; and one granddaughter, Brooke Saucier.

The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Mamou on Sunday, March 17, 2019 from 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM. A rosary will be recited Sunday at 6:00 PM by Deacon Chuck Ortego. Visitation will continue on Monday, March 18, 2018 from 8:00 AM until time of service.
