VILLE PLATTE - Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Monday, December 24, 2018 for Lou Ella P. Fontenot, 90, who passed away on Friday, December 21, 2018 in Ville Platte, LA.
Father Blake Dubroc, associate pastor of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, will conduct the funeral services.
Burial will take place in Gates of Heaven Cemetery in Ville Platte, LA.
Lou Ella P. Fontenot was born on July 27, 1928 in Mamou, LA to Avie and Domatile Perron. A long-time hair dresser at Lou’s Beauty Shop; she went to the nursing home weekly to take care of all the residents. She was a hard worker who never rested. Lou loved being around people. She could talk for hours. She was a member of both Sacred Heart and Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church. Her greatest love was the love she had for her family. She loved them with all she had. Lou will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories her sons, Carl Fontenot and wife Sharilyn of Lake Charles and Charles W. Fontenot and wife Donna of Lafayette; grandchildren, Jason L. Fontenot and wife Lindsey of Loureauville, Kevin Fontenot and wife Anne of Arlington, TX, Scott Fontenot of Lafayette, and Brian Fontenot and wife Brook of Lafayette; and eight great-grandchildren.
Lou joins in heaven her husband, Ollie M. Fontenot; parents, Avie and Domatile Perron; son, Michael Brent Fontenot; grandson, Daryl Brent Fontenot; brothers, D.L. Perron and Douglas Perron; and sisters, Elsa M. Doga and Euna Vidrine.
The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Ville Platte on Sunday, December 23, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 10:00 PM. A rosary will be recited by Deacon Gene Lebouef at 6:00 PM Sunday. Visitation will continue Monday from 8:00 AM to time of service.
